Helping to make Derwen safer
Derwen Business Partnership Against Crime (DBPAC)
We are proud to be a member of the Derwen Business Partnership Against Crime. This is a Home Office sponsored organisation set-up and Chaired by Wayne Morgan MBE, Bridgend Designer Outlet, Facilities Manager.
The DBPAC has been recognised by the Bridgend County Borough Council's Community Safety Partnership as the model for all other crime reducing partnerships to follow. Interested parties are actively encouraged to talk to Wayne about how to set up similar organisations. The partnership has been reported by the South Wales Police as having reduced all crime in the Derwen area in its first 3 months by 67%.
Our latest sponsored charity
Royal British Legion (RBL)
In 2007 the RBL Bridgend Branch becomes the Bridgend Designer Outlet sponsored charity. The Branch has for many years collected for the Armistice Day Poppy Appeal with great success. In 2006 they raised around £7,000 and it's expected that they will collect a further £8,000 in 2007. In just two years, that's £15,000 to help ex service men, women, widows and widowers. It was decided to have the Branch as our charity in 2007 as the Branch was failing and needs all the public/private support it can get in order to remain operationally effective in future years. Bridgend Designer Outlet is proud to be associated with the Royal British Legion.
